Three Months!

Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah & Happy Birthday! We've skipped a lot in the last few weeks! Max had a great thanksgiving, getting to visit his grandfathers. We stopped by Burt's on the way to my dad's for the evening.

Cameron's Dad, Burt with Max
Thanksgiving at my dad's house with my grandparents, brother & Dad & Colleen! Max was incredibly well behaved, quiet and super cute, as usual.

This last weekend we picked out the widest christmas tree that we could find...Here are some pictures of Max helping pick it out! :)

Then in the middle of the week, Max hit 3 months old! What everyone says is true, it totally goes by super fast. We switched over to feeding him on demand, and as difficult as it is to predict, he seems happier and is smiling more and more.

And lastly in non-baby-related news, Linnie and I are starting an event planning company! So weddings, holiday parties, corporate events, birthday parties, etc...we're your girls! We are in the early stages of getting started, but if you have any parties to plan, give us a call!

If I don't get back on the blog, we (Cameron Max & I) Hope you enjoy the rest of your Hanukkah & have a Merry Christmas!

2 Months 2 Weeks!

I realize I am getting a little lazy in updating the blog so I apologize to everyone for not having this post out sooner! Max is now 2 months & 2 weeks old and still growing. He had his two month check up the day before his two month birthday and he was weighing in at 10lbs 4oz and 23in long! How fast they grow...He's officially out of newborn clothing and into 3 month sizes, out of newborn diapers and into the size 1's. He has been smiling like a maniac and is juuust starting to figure out how to laugh - it's the cutest thing I think I've ever experienced.

Thanksgiving was pretty easy, we were at my dad's for dinner that night, enjoying my brother, my parents and my grandparent's company. Friday we went to my mom's and had a joint thanksgiving with the Puzans which was very special since it has been a while since we've done that. Cameron's birthday this past weekend was also pretty mellow since he doesn't like to go out. We stayed home and I cooked and pet him and changed the baby all day. Happy Birthday Bunny! :)

Billy and Linnie came over the weekend before and took some really great pictures of Max - Thank you guys, you are AMAZING!

The Littlest Big Baby

Its been a little bit of time since the last blog update, so we have some catching up to do here! What we missed was Halloween, Sandy and another doctors appointment.

So we will start with Halloween! He missed it completely. I carved pumpkins for him & passed out candy. He slept. Oh well, hopefully he will be a little more interested next year. But here are a few pictures of his first halloween:

Of course he slept through the whole thing!

Here is also the Mommy & me yoga picture I promised from the last post...Max is really enjoying that time together, as I am. Lunch with some of the  other moms afterwards is great too; I love having the company of women who are going through similar challenges & delights as myself.

And finally, Hurricane Sandy. We did lose power, but only for about 16 hours, most of which was overnight. We slept with Max in bed with us to make sure he stayed warm, then picnicked in the basement in front of the fireplace. Max of course, slept through the whole thing.

Lastly, we had to take Max to the doctors this week because we were concerned about his umbilical hernia and his vomiting. The doctor said he was fine and everything looked pretty normal. He's certainly growing; he weighed in at 9lbs 9oz and is 22inches!! We're so glad to hear how big he's getting, but the best news is that we can try to get him to sleep through the night! YAY! So far no luck with that but its good to know it will happen soon!

On an adult side note, Cam & I will be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary Sunday! Thank you to everyone who helped make this past year awesome! We love you all!
Happy Anniversary!

Mommy & Me

Today we had our first mommy & me yoga class! Max had a great time, was totally calm, awake & quiet, even when all of the other babies got fussy. He enjoyed being moved around in different ways & interacting together. I think his favorite though was the cool down/relax time at the end where he got to lay on my chest & just be quiet. That time was very fascinating though; by the end of it, all of the babies were totally calm & quiet, even the crankiest little ones. It just proves that they feed off of our energies!  One of the girls from the yoga group (started with Prenatal Yoga) is having her baby today,  we've all been on the lookout & wishing her well, while the last of us still has another couple of weeks left and is doing terrifically. Hopefully we'll see them soon in Mommy & Me!

It was really nice for me to be around all of the other new mommies-something I've been looking forward to since I was pregnant with Sophia. We are all getting better acquainted & are able to really relate & talk to each other. A few of us had a very nice lunch afterwards, went for a small walk then stumbled into a baby playtime at the library! It might be a little beyond Max's age limit (although the description says 0-24 months) it was fun to remember the nursery rhymes, activities & see the other toddlers playing.

Going backwards, we went to the pumpkin patch with our friends Josh & Megan & her family to pick out Max's first pumpkin. We had a great time (Max slept through it all) picking the perfect one & hanging out with everyone.

Hopefully I can get the one picture from yoga class that was taken but in the mean time here are some recent ones of Max & of the pumpkin patch!

One month!

Happy One Month Birthday Max!

Today our tiny little man turns 1/12th! One month ago today (at 11:53pm) we brought this little man out and into the world!

He is looking very healthy, growing well, eating well and beginning to cry well too! He is learning how to clasp his hands together, hug himself and hold his bottle. I'm trying to teach him the alphabet in english and french, but so far, he just sounds like Frankenstein. Today he met his Great-grandmother and cousins for the first time and got his picture taken in Linnie's "1 month" onsie.

Cameron's "hand scale" (his hands) say he's about 6lbs 3oz, but we won't know until his next doctor's appointment at the end of October. He has been breast feeding pretty well with only minor inconsistencies and health wise, the jaundice seems to be going down & not causing problems.

(FYI I fixed the 'comment' problem, so if you'd like to leave a comment, you should be able to)

Until we get more information from his next appointment, enjoy his one month onsie picture!

They grow up so fast

We had a great doctor's appointment today! Max is growing steadily and a tiny bit faster then the average He has gained 9 oz since last monday, so he's getting more then 1 oz a day. They measured him at 20 inches which (if accurate) means he's grown a whole inch. The doctor said he looks fantastic and is doing really well - enough so that she doesn't need to see him for two months! We were really happy to hear this, although we didn't expect anything less, and are reassured about his eating, breast or bottle!

We are all still enjoying each other's company & the time we get to spend together while Cameron is home. Lazy rainy days with movies, cookies and baby-play-time can't be beat! we are dreading monday and Cameron's inevitable return to work. :(

Unfortunately, I can not put up more photos on here until I delete other photos. So for now, we'll have to skip the photos (except this one) until I can figure out what to do. Sorry! Please leave a comment here if you want to look at more and I can email them to you.

A-ok

Day four of baby Max's life at home is going well! The dog and cat have been very patient with him and they may be a little jealous, but they haven't shown it much! We had Max's second doctor appointment, the first was friday (nothing special happened except we decided to switch doctors) and have determined that in four days he has gained 5 ounces! We were both relieved because it means he is eating well. So now he weighs 5lbs 3oz and is still 19" long!

Over the weekend, we had his first bath at home and David & Colleen stopped by for a very brief lunch visit as did Josh & Megan. We are inviting grandparents over this week and then we'll see how everything goes for next week and maybe invite some more people over. He has one more doctor appointment this week on friday (as do I for post-op) so we'll see how much he grows over the week!

Here are a few pictures of this weekend:
