Happy January everyone!
In Max's fourth month, it's been a little up and down for us, but mostly good. We had a bad week with breastfeeding but now it seems to be all back to normal & everyone is happy once again. He has been very talkative this month, "goo"-ing and "gaaa"-ing & experimenting with his voice's capabilities. He is also just starting to learn to sit up, something he's really enjoying. He's also loving the jump up chair, bouncing & giggling & squealing & jumping.

Max had his 4 month doctor appointment on tuesday. He is 13 lb & 6 oz, and is 25.8 inches long! He's getting so tall! The doc said he's doing great and looks very healthy. His hernia is getting smaller & smaller too - almost to the point where he almost has a normal looking belly button. Turns out we should be reading to him every day at this point-something he certainly enjoys, just like mommy! The doc also cleared Max to start on solid foods! YAY!
She said one food item at a time for a few days at a time to start. So we started with rice cereal, 1 part cereal & 3 parts breast milk which made it really really soupy, so maybe tomorrow we'll add less milk. But Max enjoyed sitting up with us big people & seemed to be enjoying the spoon! He probably didn't get much food in his tummy but practicing with the spoon was good for him and fun for us. What a blast & how cute!
Enjoy these 4 month pictures & the first solids picture & video!
